Busy Days at Comms Connect New Zealand 2024

Thursday, July 25th, 2024

In June, the Logic Wireless team attended and exhibited at Comms Connect New Zealand (CCNZ) in Ōtautahi (Christchurch). As always, it was a fantastic event and a great opportunity to reconnect with our suppliers, Logic dealers, and end-users.

Celebrating the value of working with multiple suppliers

After months of planning, it was all hands on deck to get the Logic booth ready for CCNZ 2024! It was touted as the biggest event in years, and it didn’t disappoint. The exhibition hall was full and traffic was steady throughout the conference.

Tony Davis, Chief Marketing Officer at Logic Wireless, attended both days of the event and said,

“We had so many fantastic conversations on the Logic stand, covering different technologies, and with a cross-section of suppliers, our dealer channel and end-users. What other opportunity do we get to see this many people at one event?

It was great to host
Radio Activity and Omnitronics at our booth and to see them busy with demonstrations throughout the event. Seeing their solutions complementing the wider Logic Portfolio reinforced a common talking point where users want to ‘pick-n-mix’ their communication solutions. Being able to choose products from many manufacturers is a real plus!”

Unveiling our new website

The new Logic website was unveiled to great feedback from all of our partners. We proudly gave visitors a tour of the site and folks were impressed with the ease of finding product information and discovering the breadth of the Logic product portfolio.

The Comms Connect Melbourne 2024 Wrap-Up

Monday, October 28th, 2024

The Logic team had a fantastic time at Comms Connect Melbourne, October 16-17.

L to R: Steve Hooper, James Burke, Nikita Ryan, Neil Johnson, and Simon Austin.

Logic team raves, “Was the best Comms Connect to date!”

Earlier this month, the Logic team flew into Melbourne for our biggest event of the year – Comms Connect. We showcased products from nine of our industry-leading partners, with innovative solutions around connectivity, hazardous environments, converged communications and body-worn video for frontline workers.

A big thank you to our partners and to all who came by for a chat – it was great to see such keen interest in all of our showcased critical communication solutions!

Folks loved the Titan MM50 speaker mic with the Sensear communications-enabled headset and could see many use cases for them. The Tait TP9900 multi-band multi-protocol portable radio and Wildland portable radio battery pack sparked many conversations around worker safety and how to ensure communications get through in the toughest of environments. We were thrilled to have Eventide join us at the booth to talk through their voice recording solutions; it was a fantastic way to continue the excitement of our new partnership and portfolio addition with our dealers, partners and end-users.

Our PTToC solutions from SonimSiyata Mobile and Aina PTT got conversations flowing around converged communications and rugged alternatives to commercial smart devices.

Those interested in increasing worker safety were keen to see our Body Worn Video (BWV) portfolio from Motorola Solutions, with the V500 body-worn camera piquing the interest of many!

Motorola Solutions BWC VT100, VB400 and V500 on display.

It was great to see Nick Stefanou busy on both days, with visitors coming to see the innovative SmartPATCH converged communications solution from Nexion Data Systems.

ARCIA Gala Dinner and Excellence Awards cap off a brilliant Day 1

Logic Wireless is a proud Gold Sponsor of ARCIA, and a highlight of Comms Connect each year is the ARCIA Gala Dinner and Excellence Awards. The Logic team were looking forward to this night and weren’t disappointed, enjoying the MC for the evening—Libbi Gorr—and celebrating the awards winners.

The 2025 Melbourne Workplace Health and Safety Show Wrap-up

Friday, May 30th, 2025

The team had a bustling two days at the Workplace Health & Safety Show in Melbourne, 20-21 May 2025.

L to R: James Burke, Andrew Hunter, Simon Austin, and Gary Botley; Simon, Gary and James.

Busy days & great conversations highlight diverse customer needs

Last week, and for the first time, Logic attended the Workplace Health & Safety Show in Melbourne. This was a new event for Logic, and the team was impressed with the foot traffic through the venue and exposure given to our showcased brands—industry-leaders Motorola Solutions, Sensear and Pepperl+Fuchs—and their innovative solutions designed to improve worker safety and well-being.

Both days were busy and the team enjoyed chatting with end-users, understanding the challenges they face within their organisations, as well as catching up with our Partners and local Logic Dealers.

A huge thank you to our Partners and everyone who stopped by our booth for a yarn and to learn who we are and the solutions we can deliver.

Simon Austin, General Manager at Logic Wireless Australia, said, “For our first time exhibiting, we weren’t quite sure what to expect, but within the first hour it was clear we were in the right place. Health & Safety is a hot topic and for great reason—people need to feel safe at work and while doing their jobs. As a Value-Added Distributor, Logic Wireless is proud of our extensive portfolio of tech solutions that improve worker safety, while enhancing organisational efficiency.”

The event itself was extremely diverse, from anti-slip solutions and exciting robotic demos to personal safety tools and psychological well-being. It highlighted the fact that workplace health and safety is all-encompassing and applicable to all industries. Organisations want to better protect their people, physically and mentally.

On the Logic booth

Logic highlighted solutions designed to improve worker safety and their well-being and there was a good split of interest across the product range on display.

Andrew was busy both days demonstrating the Body Worn Video (BWV) portfolio from  Motorola Solutions, and we were thrilled to be able to preview the recently launched V200 body worn camera. Folks could see use cases for this technology beyond police, with applicability for lone workers, training, remote tech repairs and more.

James, Simon and Gary were manning our Intrinsically Safe pod, where we showcased hearing and mobile communication solutions for safe use in potentially explosive environments.

On display were intrinsically safe PTToC devices which can be used safely in a variety of ways in high-risk industrial areas, boosting staff safety and confidence.

IECEx-certified hearing protection for use in high-noise environments was also popular on the day, with Sensear CEO, Amanda Miller, joining us for demonstrations and sharing her expertise. Their IECEx Smart Headsets use the patented SENS technology to improve situational awareness and reduce the risk of costly communication errors.

Following the recent launch, we previewed solutions from our new partner, Pepperl+Fuchs. We also had on display their intrinsically safe mobile computing and communication devices–Tab-Ex 05 DZ1 Tablet and Smart-Ex 03 DZ1 Smartphone— for use in harsh, industrial environments.

Thanks to our solutions visitors

It was a busy few days, and we truly appreciate those of you who took the time to connect with us and learn more about our innovative critical communication solutions that keep workers connected and protected. We hope you managed to get yourself one of our handy waterproof first aid kits!

Congratulations to Grant M. of VIC — winner of our show promotion! A Sensear SM1P Smart Headset is on its way to you!
